London Fashion Week AW 2012...Peony

The last post for a little while (well, except for the one below;) on the white suit and how to wear it as separates*. I love this simple, elegant look on Peony - a crisp white jacket, a beautiful blouse with lace detailing and a pair of gently flared jeans - it is difficult to go wrong. Adding a white fur (or fake fur) stole for Autumn/Winter makes it an outfit for all seasons.

An oversized clutch is fab way to introduce a pop of colour to an outfit....and it is practical as well!

For me, this look ticks all the boxes for wearability in real life (as opposed to just fashion week life): simple, comfortable, cute (love those two-tone heels with the turned up jeans) and put together with pieces that you probably already have in your wardrobe.

J Brand Aidan slouchy boy jeans or Current/Elliott The Boyfriend Cropped boyfriend jeans or River Island boyfriend jeans

Add some two-tone strappy sandals: Tibi Stella colourblock sandals  or Bottega Veneta two-tone sandals or ALDO J.W. Anderson stiletto sandals (with fluffy bits at the back!)

London Fashion Week AW 2012...Lisa

Before Christopher Kane, London, February 2012.

I photographed this girl last September before Christopher Kane (she was wearing the gorgeous Christopher Kane patent pencil skirt with embroidered flowers) and I spotted her again this season. I really love the way she has paired trainers with the Acne Starlet leather skirt - casual, relaxed and cool all at once. Hands up who hasn't sported a version of this look? I am sitting firmly on mine (well, not literally as I have to type ;) as sandshoes (got to love a Dunlop volley!)/trainers with a shortish* denim skirt has been a look I have worn many times over the years. The leather skirt with trainers equals a fresh take on the sneakers/skirt look.
